A lightweight waterproof jacket with all the essentials.

Our Beachcomber raincoat has become a Lighthouse classic and, due to popular demand, we have expanded the range of colours available for the new Spring/Summer season.

Waterproof and windproof with a peachy-soft outer and jersey lining, this is the perfect lightweight jacket to cover those transitional seasonal moments when it's a little warmer outdoors, but the rainclouds are threatening, or when the evening air still has a bit of a chill.

The concealed hood and zipped front pockets keep the lines clean and unfussy when you just want a simple jacket to grab and go. Breton stripes and adjustable drawcords keep the nautical look in a variety of colour ways. 

With the machine washable Beachcomber to hand, any outing can be enjoyed with gusto, no matter what the weather has in store!

Is this coat waterproof? Yes, it is waterproof, up to 3,000 mm, with fully taped seams, an an adjustable hood.
Is it breathable? Yes, it is breathable up to 3,000 gsm.
Is it windproof? Yes.
Will it keep me warm? This is designed to be a lighter weight Spring/Summer product and does not have additional padding or insulation.
Does it have pockets? Yes, two front pockets and a zipped internal pocket.

    • When washing your knitwear pieces, it's important to wash them one at a time to avoid any colour mixing.
    • You should never wring or scrub your wool knitwear as this can cause pilling and stretching.: It's important not to hang your knitwear and wool sweaters to dry as this will cause stretching. If your knitwear needs to be reshaped, do this while it is still damp.
    • If you are storing your knitwear away for the summer, put a sachet of lavender in with it, this will keep any little bugs away!

    1.   Irish Moss Stitch:  The moss stitch can symbolize growth, resilience, and the ability to thrive in challenging environments, reflecting the resilience and resourcefulness of the islanders who historically wore Aran sweaters.
    1.  Zig Zag Stitch: The diamond pattern can symbolize a fisherman's net or the mesh of a lobster pot, signifying a wish for a fruitful catch and abundance at sea.
