Materials & Care

Good wool deserves good care.

Wool is naturally breathable, resilient and surprisingly low-maintenance. It doesn’t need to be washed after every wear — often, a little fresh air is all it needs.

Wash less, wear more
Always check the care label first, as every garment is different. When washing is needed, use cool or lukewarm water and a gentle wool detergent. Hand washing is usually the safest option unless the garment label says otherwise.

Keep it gentle
Avoid rubbing, twisting or wringing wool. After washing, gently press out excess water, reshape while damp and dry flat away from direct heat. Avoid tumble drying unless specifically permitted on the care label.

A little pilling is natural
Those small bobbles that can appear on wool aren't necessarily a sign of poor quality. They're caused by loose fibres working their way to the surface through everyday wear. A wool comb or fabric shaver will gently freshen things up.

Store it well
Fold knitwear rather than hanging it, which can stretch the shoulders and change its shape. Make sure pieces are clean and completely dry before storing them away for longer periods.

Different wool. Different character.
Our collections include Merino wool, lambswool, pure new wool, Donegal tweed and wool blends, each with its own feel and character. Always follow the individual garment care label for the best results.

Made to be worn. Made to last.
